A Solid Medium Use Shredder: No Issues During Initial Two Week Run
Quite literally, I purchased a new home office shredder the week before this Fellowes PowerShred 60Cs was offered to me. In the past, I have tended to go with light usage units. As this is for my household, my shredding needs may not be as intensive as those requiring something for work. But I do shred quite a bit when it comes to mail, bills, and old credit cards. And in binge shredding, I have been known to wreck a cheaper model! So far, I have been quite pleased with the Fellowes Powershred 60Cs but I am not as aggressive in testing its limitations as others might be.
Claim: 10 Sheets maximum.
Observation: I rarely push a machine to its max, simply because I've gotten a longer life when I don't. I tend to use 6-8 sheets per shred with this unit and it has responded smoothly.
Claim: Handles Staples and Paper Clips.
Observation: Again, I'd never intentional put either of these things through my shredder. But staples slip through on occasion and...
