Great card for the price? No is a great card anyway you slice it!
I'll tell you I have gone through my fair share of graphic cards and have never been horribly disappointed but always felt that something was missing until this verison of the 660gtx. Not only is using some of the best technology but its overcolcked and superclocked which means there is no reason to mess with the setting on this card because its already perfect! The two fans on it do a great job of cooling and are really pretty silent. I have two of these cards in my case( sli ) and the performance of them is somewhere in between the 680gtx and 690gtx for a much less price. Another great fact is they are relatively low powered cards so if you have an older power supply (psu) it wont be a problem. I am coming from the evga 560ti 448 core classified edition and it really even as a single card the 660gtx blows it always! I have been gaming for hours straight and this card never slows down to heat or anything.

So if you have any doubt, don't. Just buy this card and heck buy...

For an upper-mainstream card, this thing is perfect. It plays Far Cry 3 at 2560x1440 at 50-60fps, and virtually every game I own plays as smooth as butter. Good product
I have a modest computer w/ only a couple available PCIex1 slots (not PCIe x16) and wanted to run 4 monitors w/ out breaking the bank. Bought 2 and it worked out great on my win7 box b/c they were (a) PCIe x1, (b) didn't need an external power source (c) slim and didn't take up 2 slots like other cards (d) came w/ the 2 connector adapter and (e) new enough that AMD/ATI still offers good driver support. Good motherboard, great Bios settup. Would give it 5 stars but i did encounter a minor defect. Straight out of box and before CPU installation i took a glance at the CPU socket and notice 1 pin slightly bent on this motherboard, Thankfully it still worked, but really did worry me that it may cause some problems. Googled this issue and i wasn't the only one with this issue. MSI needs to examine there machines making these, because it is creating some faulty motherboards. Also processor lock was really stiff too, enough to scratch my cpu a little.

Great card, a bit noisy on full load
I got this card about 2 months ago and it has been running great. I have not OC'd yet, so I cannot comment on that. But it runs fairly cool and is quiet when you are fiddling around. When the GPU load gets high (gaming) it gets kinda loud. Not terrible, but noticeable. I game with headphones, so it is a minor issue.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ordered this card as an upgrade from an XFX HD 5850 stock edition. The old card still worked fine, but had developed some fan noise issues and decided it was time to upgrade rather than pursue a warranty replacement.

The card arrived and although I got video, I was getting constant display driver bomb issues. Went back to the old card and they cleared right up. Got Amazon to replace the card and the new one doesn't have driver crashing issues, but I can't get the Catalyst software to install (hard reboot after every attempt). Operates OK for the most part without the Catalyst software, but get some screen tearing issues that I never had before. Can't be 100% certain it's the card, as I haven't reformatted the system, reset the bios or other detailed...

Does what it should
Good, solid RAM. I now have 4 sticks of 4, for 16 GB total. I imagine you could create a small RAMdisk out of this if you really wanted, though I would recommend getting at least 32GB of RAM before you did that. No complaints from me so far. I personally love the red heatsink casing on these, as it matches all the rest of the red in my case and really looks good on my motherboard. Good, solid RAM. I now have 4 sticks of 4, for 16 GB total. I imagine you could create a small RAMdisk out of this if you really wanted, though I would recommend getting at least 32GB of RAM before you did that. No complaints from me so far. I personally love the red heatsink casing on these, as it matches all the rest of the red in my case and really looks good on my motherboard. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to upgrade and whose motherboard supports 2133MHz frequency RAM.

I typically do all my own maintenance whether it be on my vehicles or my house. I've had a dewalt cordless drill driver for years and was pretty happy with it except for the fact that it rips a phillips screw head apart if it hits resistance. It's a great drill but not so good at the driver part. I got this drill driver for Christmas over a year ago and now its my go to driver. So far so good! Great silent power supply with plenty of power for my needs...probably overkill for my Sli set up but whatever! Cables are a bit stiff and not as long as the ones from my Corsair HX650 it replaced but it's not a problem for me since I use sleeved extensions. Not sure why, but my Valley benchmarks 1.0 results increased after installing this psu. Maybe my graphics card was not set correctly previously or what not. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase....as far as reliability, only time will tell!!!

This is the first workstation card I have owned and it has lived up to my expectations.

Those looking for plenty of geometry headroom in 3D apps, this card will open doors for you. When working with 10s of millions of polys in Maya's viewport, performance on the v5900 is significantly higher than what my previous consumer card (GTX560) could deliver. You won't notice much performance benefit over a high-end consumer card when working with low-poly models though.

What's best about this card though is the stability, feature support and confidence when working in OpenGL apps.

The major drawcard of the AMD cards is their ability to run 3 monitors from a single card. This is a great feature, though I did struggle to get my Cintiq running alongside my other 24" monitors. All is fine now. I haven't encountered any other problems with it.

Well-built, attractive case
This was my first HTPC, but I've built several PCs over the years, so I'm fairly familiar with cases, and this one didn't disappoint. The threads of all the screws and screw holes were clean, there was no rattling after I got everything back together, all the internal pieces had appropriate clearance, the fan closest to the power supply had a cover, all rivets were firm, etc.

Some of the reviews I found noted a lack of airflow, so when I got the case, I also purchased a couple 120mm PWM fans and replaced one of the included 120mm fans in addition to removing part of the dust filter screens. I now have the one original fan running on Low and the other two PWMs controlled by the motherboard, and my phone says it averages around 37dB measured from about a foot in front of the case. We can hear the fans from the couch (12-14ft away) when the room is silent, but it's just a hum, and we never notice them when we're watching/listening to media. This is a nice case, but I wouldn't recommend this case for a first time builder. The front of this case is solid, sleek, very clean.

This case is a little different than the other matx or atx cases out there in that you need a slim dvd drive. This is also the main problem with the case. The slim drive can be difficult to mount. I found the screws included in the kit caused the drives cd tray rails to bind up. I ended up using a shim between the drive and the rails and only screwing one side of the rails to the case. In short this problem would be solved more easily with a slot load slim dvd drive instead. Also, remember you'll need to buy the adapter to convert the slim drive connectors to standard sata connections.

The other thing to remember is that this case has tight clearances. The power supply needs to be as short as possible (180mm) or shorter.

It Does The Job
It seems to be working quite well. It was the least expensive option I could find for switching between my Mac Pro and an Intel based PC I had just finished assembling. The unknown before I connected everything up was whether my 30" Cinema Display was going to have a clear image after installing this switch. It does, and it looks just as good as it did when only the Mac Pro was connected. So I am satisfied.

The only reason I don't "love" it is because of the price. But this device still had the lowest of all the ones I looked at with comparable features.

Customer review : Works great switching between Mac and Windows
I'm using this to switch between a 2008 Mac Pro and a Thinkpad T520 with a Minidock Series 3, sharing a Dell 3007WFP monitor running 2560x1600 and the Mac Pro's keyboard and mouse. For the thinkpad I first had to convert the display port output to dual-link dvi using this:

The switch has dedicated inputs for both keyboard and mouse so that it can detect hotkey patterns for switching (such as double-click of center button of mouse). I lose the mouse hotkey with that, but I prefer using the keyboard anyway.
