Excellent board for those not needing overclocking
I had been waiting to upgrade my aging Q6600 setup for when Ivy Bridge came out, and when it finally did it was time to settle on a motherboard. After searching the various motherboard vendors I finally settled on this H77 full ATX motherboard, which, while it has its layout issues, has otherwise been a fine choice.

I looked at how I use my computer, and I only run a single, good video card, and I planned to swap out my raid-10 with a raid-1 with a solid state drive for caching using Intel's SRT. The money I saved over a Z77 motherboard afforded me the SSD, and I can assure you that it's well worth the ticket price to get one. I rarely hear the hard drive these days and everything loads faster and smoother. The H77 and Z77 (along with the Z68) provides this feature, while the overclocking Z75 does not. I also realized, as you can imagine, that I don't need a heck of a lot of ports - only running three things that would need a SATA port, a USB hub provides all of the USB 2.0...
