1PORT Local + Remote USB Securelinx Spiderduo KVM Over Ip - Review
Ok for what it is
I had to buy this for a weird sorta project and for what it is, it works great, The web interface is a little kludgy and poorly documented but it does function very well. All in all I am satisfied with it, but not blown away by it.

Customer review : Works great for what it is
This is a great solution for servers that don't have embedded IP KVMs (like Dell iDRAC).
I bought this to manage "problem" servers at clients remotely, and it's awesome for that... no more driving just to reboot a server or apply firmware updates.
Of course the mouse movements aren't great, etc., this is NOT a replacement for RDP or VNC, etc., and never was meant to be. If you use it from the standpoint of you can either:
1) Drive to the client/worksite/etc. or:
2) Whip open your laptop wherever you are and reboot the server, upgrade bios, etc.
You will be pleased; I think you know the correct answer. As far as mouse movements, display refresh, etc., it is comparable to Raritan IP KVMs, Dell iDRAC, etc., they all have this issue. I have to say that I actually like this IP KVM *better* than the iDRAC as the spider duo has never disconnected me (the iDRACs like to do that when I reboot).
With that said, still buy iDRACs/iLOs, etc...
